Practice Policies

Payments

          I accept multiple ways of payment including cash, PayPal, Venmo or check, as well as all major credit cards. If you have out-of-network benefits, please see below. Typically, my patients are responsible for the full session fee before they get reimbursed. See below section regarding insurance and out-of-network benefits.  

Insurance

          I am out-of-network provider. Out-of-network benefits may be used to cover my services in full or in part, depending on your specific policy. I will generate and send you “superbills” (statements for insurance reimbursement that include all necessary information on them) after every session or at the end of each month. You can submit these superbills to your insurance company online or via mail, and your reimbursement will be sent to you directly from the insurance company. If you have particular challenges around submitting for reimbursement, I would be happy to assist. 


          If you do not have out-of-network benefits, in certain situations I might be able to reach a “single case agreement” with your insurance company. Please call me to inquire about this option.


          Before our initial appointment, please check your insurance coverage by asking the following questions to your insurance carrier:

  • Do I have out-of-network mental health insurance benefits?
  • What is my deductible and has it been met?
  • How many sessions per year does my health insurance cover?
  • What is the coverage amount per therapy session? (What percentage of the session fee will be reimbursed?)
  • Is approval required from my primary care physician?

Cancellations

          If you are not able to attend one of your scheduled appointments, please be sure to give notification at least 24 hours before hand to avoid cancellation fee. If you need to reschedule a session, I would be happy to accommodate your schedule. Please contact me via email or phone.
